Room supervisor
We are still looking for one or two room supervisors to share the possibility for corridors. As a Room Supervisor you will be in charge of a designated room or an area, with the guidance from the Spatial Design leads. Your tasks may include managing, concept design, spatial design, building or prop making. It all depends on what you can and want to do. You´ll never have to do it alone! You will be aided by our other volunteers, the Spatial Design leads. Design, propping and building skills are beneficial but not obligatory.
Set builder
As a set builder you can participate in building set pieces for different spaces with the guidance of room supervisors.
Coordinator
We are looking for a couple more people to help our producers to coordinate few special events. We are planning to host a guest event just before the first run (Wednesday June 26th), Open doors event between second and third run (Monday July 8th and Tuesday July 9th) and to showcase our props in Ropecon prop exhibition (setup July 18th and 19th). But to make these happen we need a few more coordinators to help out in these.
Video surveillance lead
We are looking for a volunteer to take lead for setting up the video surveillance on the ship and to assist our land mission coordinator with the land mission streaming.
Puzzle builders
This is not specifically a role within a team, although it can be. Would you like to build and electronic or manual puzzles for our engineers to solve? Or have an idea for a nice science puzzle? You can join our team to create this puzzles or just offer one you already have or want to make for us to use!
From old recruitment page:
In the summer of 2024 Odysseus will be returning, updated and improved. We are currently assembling our crew to manage and run the game in 2024. If you are interested in joining and being part of a committed and enthusiastic team in charge of this project from concept to delivery, this call to action is for you!
We are looking for creators who want to have an impact on the running of Odysseus 2024, who are willing to take charge of an aspect of the production and see it through till the end of the project. We will be recruiting throughout the whole process, and roles with a smaller responsibility or time input will be filled out in phases as we draw closer to the event, so you can leave an application to join at any point.
What are we looking for?
We have reopened the recruitment for the following roles! The work for Odysseus 2024 is moving full steam ahead and in the process we have identified few more positions where we could still use more people. Check out the open positions and fill out the recruitment form! We will fill the spots as soon as we find a good candidate.
If none of the mentioned roles or job descriptions feels like a good fit for your strengths but you'd still be interested in being a part of the organizing team at this stage, fill out the application form and use the free description box to tell us what kind of roles and responsibilities you might be interested in.
If there is no immediate fit to a role or assignment, we'll be hanging on to your application and re-checking it when we are recruiting new members again. An open application will stay valid throughout the entire project, so you can apply now or later.
Lead positions we are looking for people who can work independently and assume leading roles in a team or a task. However nothing needs to be done alone, we have an extremely experienced and helpful core team that will assist and support you throughout the project.
On-site recruitment
At this point we are not recruiting people for the building phase or running the larp (including NPC’s). However if these are tasks you would like to be a part of, you can sign up to our on-site recruitment mailing list and we’ll contact you once we open the call for these roles.
We are closing fast the onsite phase, but it still isn't too late to jump on board. If you are interested in doing set building or creating manual puzzles just fill this form or if you have any questions send us an email to [email protected]!
